The Oloronais approach this second block of three matches with the ambition to shine outside their bases. They will continue with the reception at Layrac, then with a trip to Peyrehorade on October 20.

“For our first trip, we took a slap at Tyrosse (46-22),” comments Blue and White winger Marius Demon. “We were able to rectify the situation by dominating Saint-Médard-en-Jalles (23-13), but we must try to put as much intensity into the matches that await us away. We need to be more consistent. »

Two draws last year

The opportunity to gauge themselves again seems propitious among commuters who have started their exercise in a mixed manner. After sharing the points at Nafarroa (26-26), Floirac in fact gave in at home against the promoted Lourdes (18-24), before catching up in Lot-et-Garonne with another newcomer in Fédérale 1, 4 Bastide cantons (31-33).

“Our first block was also sluggish,” tempers forward coach Jean-Michel Tauzin. “We win without trembling at home, but we have to improve on the road. We are working to fix certain things and improve ourselves. We know Floirac whose group has changed little compared to last season. It remains a great, very physical team that plays good rugby. »

The two teams shared points twice last season (16-16 in , then 23-23 on the return leg). During the 2nd round, the FéCéO was deprived of victory with a valid drop not granted which had caused a lot of ink to flow (see our previous editions in April). This 3rd round will certainly be an opportunity to decide between the two camps.
