Saturday morning, the stage of the CRR auditorium is full of children from Épinay, Noisy-le-Grand, and Paris. Booklet in hand, very concentrated, they perform singing and dancing parts, cannon songs.

In this moment of solitude, full of tendress and worry, I feel that there are beings full of kindness… » Between two songs, some spontaneously applaud each other, others take the opportunity to sit down, relax, hands in the small of their back, arms crossed above their heads…

Alice Fagard, professional singer, loves the emotion created by “ this immense choir with all these voices (…). Without warning, it hits us in the guts “. Philippe, one of the 640 singers of Sequenza 9.3, appreciates the innovations of his training:

We sang in the presence of the composers during rehearsals. Other times with people in rehabilitation and there with a children’s choir. Catherine Simonpietri always does something that allows us to meet around music. She is able to carry everyone “.

For Cantata 2024, which addresses the question of friendship and sisterhood, the leader of the heart Catherine Simontri went to collect songs throughout the department, from residents from 140 countries. “ When I knew that the Olympic Games were coming to Seine-Saint-Denis, she remembersI really wanted to highlight the department through all its cultural riches “. Once the hour strikes, some children continue to sing. “ We still have the song in our heads, so we want to sing it. I sing all the time at home. And there I train to be chosen as a soloist » explains Yasmine, ten years old.
