Between go-fast and home deliveries… The thriving small business of a trio of Parisian dealers

“I don’t know why I did that. I was caught in a spiral. However, I don’t need money, I have no debt.” This young bearded man, aged 21, was indicted on Thursday in for drug trafficking before being released under judicial supervision. He is suspected of having, between January and September 2024, participated in lucrative cannabis trafficking in Paris (20th century) and the Paris region. But he would also have been involved in go-fast imports from Spain. The prosecution during its requisitions opposed his release, considering that “his confessions were insufficient for a man driven by the lure of gain when his criminal record is already marred by two convictions”.

More than 100,000 euros worth of drugs

The case began at the beginning of the year when investigators from the narcotics brigade of the Paris judicial police gathered information on a small team which ensured home deliveries of weed and cannabis resin. At the center of this business is one Dylan who manages all aspects of this illegal enterprise. The police place him under surveillance. They note that the thug made at least three trips to the Iberian Peninsula to fuel his trafficking. Orders are placed via encrypted “Signal” messaging.

At the end of September, Dylan and another accomplice were arrested before being indicted and then imprisoned. During the searches, the police got their hands on 21 kg of weed and 5 kg of cannabis resin, with an estimated wholesale value of 109,000 euros. During their interviews, the suspects deny and remain silent.

A “well surrounded” boy

Officials arrested a third accomplice at the start of the week in his apartment in the 20th arrondissement of the capital, before placing him in police custody at the Porte de . During these hearings, this young electrician, who lives with his grandparents, makes a full confession. He explains that he was drawn into this affair by a friend. He made deliveries to consumers and accompanied his friend when he went to get his drugs in Spain.

His lawyer, Me Arnaud Fabre, recalled that the investigating judge had decided to place his client under judicial supervision. “He is not a regular trafficker,” says the council. His involvement is entirely occasional. This boy works. He is well surrounded by his loved ones and explained himself well during the procedure.” So many arguments which finally convinced the judge of freedoms.
