Attempted murder of a physiotherapist in Paris: the Assize Court sends the police to find the accused

New twist in the trial for attempted murder of a physiotherapist in Paris. An incredible affair, against a backdrop of revenge by a former patient, Sylvain F., 52, against a physiotherapist, mixing Georgian henchmen and a Parisian dentist, in the chic 16th arrondissement.

The former patient, Sylvain F., music teacher, against whom the attorney general requested ten years in prison on Friday, did not appear at the gates of the courthouse this Monday morning. “We have a difficulty, we note the absence of Mr. F.” indicates after an hour, the president, Caroline Jadis-Pomeau.

The hypothesis of a runaway ended around 10:30 a.m., after numerous phone calls, suggesting that the accused was located in Paris. “He is at home in Paris, overdosing on morphine, and is physically in no condition to be there,” told the court, Me Charles Morel, who is defending Sylvain F. with Me Jonathan Levy. The court subsequently issued an arrest warrant. It is up to the police officers from the 18th arrondissement police station to execute him. “We should make sure that things are done quickly so as not to fall too far behind schedule,” adds the president before suspending the session.

Five years ago today, on May 6, 2019, Michel H., a physiotherapist in the 16th arrondissement, was hit by a car while he was on his way to his office. Tried for two weeks, among nine accused, Sylvain F., a former patient, who was angry with the physiotherapist, maintains that it was his girlfriend at the time, Maria, of Georgian origin, who orchestrated the attack by recruiting Georgian henchmen. Sylvain F., has always maintained that he wanted to administer a correction to the physiotherapist, whom he holds responsible for all his misfortune, following a session in 2009, but not to kill him. He wanted to put “his fist in the face”, or “break his wrists or knees with a sledgehammer”, according to damning wiretaps.

“From the moment the sponsor, an accomplice by instigation, has given instructions to harm the physical integrity of a person, he bears the consequences,” explained Jean-Christophe Muller, general counsel. Breaking knees with a sledgehammer could have been understood as committing something sufficiently serious, and potentially causing death.” In particular, he requested fifteen years of imprisonment against the Georgian commando, on the run, and four years against the ex-girlfriend, Maria. The verdict is expected tomorrow evening.
