A UNIQUE MEETING PLACE, BUSINESS AND FINANCING ACCELERATOR

VivaTech has established itself as the most productive business event with more than 400,000 business connections on digital alone and enthusiasm from all players in the sector for the generation of commercial leads. This year, more than 13,500 startups also had the opportunity to establish commercial relationships with companies in more than 25 sectors and meet more than 2,000 investors and investment funds such as Accel, KKR, Lightspeed, Sequoia Capital, Eurazeo, or even GV (Google Ventures) during the 3 professional days.

VIVA TECHNOLOGY CONFIRMS ITS INTERNATIONAL ATTRACTIVENESS

VivaTech has become the epicenter of meetings and discussions on tech and innovation on a global scale. More than 120 countries were represented, with around forty national pavilions including those of Canada, Taiwan, Brazil, the United Kingdom and Germany.

Japan, Country of the Year, was also able to present its technological ecosystem with the presence of a ministerial delegation and more than 40 startups. Africa was once again present with a zone dedicated to local talents and start-ups, the Africa Tech Lab. Continuing for the third consecutive year, the AfricaTech Awards, sponsored by Airtel and Cassava Technologie, shed light on the most innovative startups in the Climate Tech, Health Tech, FinTech & Ecommerce sectors in Africa. This year’s winners include Schoolz for Climate Tech, Rology for Health Tech and Inclusivity Solutions for FinTech & Ecommerce.

AI AND SUSTAINABLE TECH AT THE HEART OF THE 2024 PROGRAMMING

VivaTech 2024 was the place where the latest, most concrete AI solutions were presented with nearly 40% of exhibitors showing innovations on the subject, notably through a new space: AI Avenue, the bubbling heart of the event lasting four days.

VivaTech’s reinforced commitment to responsible technology materialized in particular with the Impact Bridge, sponsored by EDF, an entire aisle dedicated to initiatives and innovations with a positive impact to build a more sustainable and inclusive future.

More than 400 debates took place with more than two thirds coming from abroad and among them inspiring personalities such as John Kerry, Rachel Delacour (Sweep), Robin Li (Baidu), Arthur Mensch (Mistral AI), Yann LeCun (Meta) or Dario Amodei (Anthropic). From the first edition VivaTech has been keen to be exemplary in terms of environmental issues. Its efforts were rewarded this year by obtaining ISO 20-121 certification. This certification is part of the structuring of its CSR policy initiated more than 2 years ago.

DIVERSITY MORE THAN EVER IN VIVATECH’S DNA

Like every year, women are in the spotlight: more than 40% of women spoke on the VivaTech stages. The Female Founder challenge supported by Mazars, JCDecaux and Verizon rewarded for its 6th edition Albane Dersy, co-founder of inbolt, a robotics software company developing real-time guidance using 3D vision and AI. The mentoring program 100 + 100 allowed the meeting between more than 100 young girls and 100 influential women in Tech to create vocations. Furthermore, many other initiatives have been renewed, such asImpact Buildersin partnership with Diversidays, a program which aims to accelerate the impactful business of entrepreneurs who, due to their age, social conditions or their origin, do not have sufficient opportunities in the Tech ecosystem, or Again the presence of Femtech France for the second consecutive year which launched, during VivaTech, its 2nd barometer on the Femtech industry promoting innovations in favor of women’s health.

VIVATECH 2024: THE MEETING FOR REVEALS, EXCLUSIVITIES AND INNOVATIONS FROM THE TECH PLANET

For 4 days, VivaTech vibrated to the rhythm of announcements, with around fifty world or European exclusives revealed, including:

  • BiPed AI : robotics software for visually impaired people integrating obstacle detection, turn-by-turn GPS and scene description with GPT to improve mobility and independence;
  • Everdian : a real-time data analysis solution powered by AI and equipped with dynamic display to anticipate, detect and overcome crises;
  • Bioteos : a solution that addresses indoor air pollution through an air purifier integrating bio-simulants and micro-algae in a 3D printed structure;
  • Dopavision : redefines therapeutic solutions for ophthalmic and neurological conditions thanks to a unique photobiomodulation method targeting the blind spot of the eye;
  • THE Tesla Cybertruck and Elon Musk made his first appearance in France at VivaTech, thus beginning a tour of France and Europe;
  • The Software Republic unveiled its “U1st Vision” concept, a first in mobile services focused on citizens and health.

The world’s leading speakers spoke about the current context and contemporary challenges, giving pride of place to Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Tech. The general public day had a particular focus on Gaming and Esport.
