The commune of La Boissière-des-Landes has just lost a great local figure: Myriame Couturier, died April 27 at the age of 70, following a brutal illness.

Michel Chadéneau, mayor, pays tribute to her: “Born in La Boissière in 1953, she was a town hall employee from 1979 to 2003, then became one of my deputies for two terms, until 2020, and advisor to the community of communes. He was one of the people who knew the town and its inhabitants best.

During her two municipal mandates, she was the linchpin of the municipal festival of July 13, bringing together all the Boissière associations. She was secretary of the Jeune France Boissieroise, volunteer at APEL* at the Saint-Jacques college in Moutiers, representative of solidarity transport for our commune.

A member of the Municipal Social Action Center since 2008, she contributed through her unfailing commitment to the opening of Marpa, our residence for seniors, where she was present almost every day as a volunteer. Residents and staff particularly appreciated him. Last June, she was at the origin of the creation of L’arbre de vie boissiérois, the association which aims to contribute to the well-being of residents, and she was the first president. Through his action, his local knowledge, his commitment, he was a resource person for elected officials. With her, the town of La Boissière loses a great lady concerned about the common good. “
