A small apartment in Lorient (Morbihan). More than 100 rats. Cohabitation proves difficult for two Breton tenants at the end of September 2024. An association is trying to help them.
From two to 100 rats
The two tenants had two rats. Then the situation deteriorated. They are now more than 100 rats.
The Des Rats-Cailles association in Lanester is managing a difficult file. “On Friday, we were called for 100 rats living in an apartment in Lorient. We asked a trusted person to come and see the situation,” explains the association.
The person discovered more than 100 rats. A call for help is launched to save the rodents. “We are looking for associations to support 100 males and females (probability of pregnancy) and two cages for 100 rats and rats in the walls and in the wild,” indicates the association.
After a post on social networks, several associations responded to the call. On Tuesday, October 1, four rats were taken to the veterinarian.
