In a statement to MAP, the vice-president of the Agadir Municipal Council, Hossein Boudrar, indicated that this initiative aims to promote public services linked to health prevention and public safety, noting that this shelter will allow ensuring a safe and sustainable environment for these animals and for the city’s residents.

This space also aims to provide stray dogs and cats with veterinary services, in particular sterilization and vaccination, the aim being to reduce the risks of spreading diseases and infections, continued Mr. Boudrar, also in charge of the Municipal Office of ‘hygiene.

This new shelter, the construction work of which is progressing rapidly, aims to improve the urban landscape of Agadir, maintain a clean environment and promote the quality of life of the city’s inhabitants.
