Will the images of hordes of Asian tourists streaming into Lucerne or Interlaken (BE) soon become a thing of the past? Eager for experiences, new generations are increasingly opting for individual trips to the detriment of large organized trips. Eager to support this development, Suisse Tourisme signed last Monday on the occasion of Swiss Holiday Day in Geneva, a collaboration agreement with the travel services platform Klook.

The three-year cooperation protocol aims to increase the number of individual Asian travelers and encourage longer stays. The collaboration should also make it possible to increase tourist spending, as well as stimulate the distribution of Swiss Travel Passes, the general subscription for public transport intended for non-residents. This year, the partnership will focus on the markets of Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand), South Korea, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
