One man died and another was seriously injured on Saturday following a shooting that occurred in the early morning in the north-east of Toulouse, which appears “a priori to a settling of scores”, indicated the prosecution.
The deceased victim is a 32-year-old man, “released from prison in February 2024” and who is known for various convictions, in particular for “offenses against drug legislation and aggravated violence”, underlined the Toulouse public prosecutor’s office.
The seriously injured victim, a 23-year-old man, was hit “in the chest” and is hospitalized, while a third man, aged 25, was injured in the hand, he added.
The three men were in a vehicle which was about to leave the parking lot of a nightclub in an outlying district in the north-east of Toulouse when a second vehicle stopped nearby, two men leaving the passenger compartment before to open fire with 9 mm caliber weapons, according to the first elements of the investigation released by the prosecution.
These facts, which occurred around 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, are “a priori like a settling of scores” and an investigation was opened for “murder and attempted murder by an organized gang”, said this Source.
