For his first visit to the department of Mayenne, Albert II of Monaco will stay two days. It is in the north of the department that His Serene Highness will begin his journey.

Sunday May 5 in Mayenne

2:45 p.m. Prince Albert is expected at the Palais de la Barre Ducale, the former town hall of Mayenne, for a meeting with elected officials and stakeholders in the department.

The Monegasque sovereign will then meet the inhabitants during a stroll through the city center.

4 p.m. Albert II of Monaco will then go to the museum of the Château de Mayenne, housed in the large house built by the ancestors of the Monegasque prince: Honoré de Grimaldi and Louise-Félicité-Victoire d’Aumont-Mazarin, Duchess of Mayenne, married in 1777. Which makes Albert II of Monaco the current Duke of Mayenne.

5 p.m. Public speaking in the castle courtyard. He will then award prizes to the winners of the international piano competition organized at the Mayenne theater. The prince sponsored the event in 2018.

Monday May 6: Fontaine Daniel and Laval

9:45 a.m. Albert II will visit the Toiles de Mayenne at Fontaine Daniel, before returning to Laval.

11 a.m. At the Departmental Archives in Laval, the prince will inaugurate an exhibition retracing the links which unite the Monegasque royal family and the Mayenne department. This exhibition will be open to the public from May 7 to September 27, Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as during Heritage Days at the end of September.

12:30 p.m. The sovereign will be received at the Department hotel where he will have lunch with the departmental councils. At the start of the afternoon, he will speak with the prefect Marie-Aimée Gaspari.

3:30 p.m. The Prince of Monaco will end his trip with a visit to the City of Milk, the Lactalis museum.
