Closure of the Quebec bridge: traffic rather fluid on Saturday

Despite the temporary closure of the Quebec Bridge and the launch of the half-marathon, traffic was rather fluid in the capital on Saturday, at the start of the day.

Some slowdowns were observed Saturday morning, but traffic was not difficult on the Pierre-Laporte bridge, although it is the only link to cross from the South Shore to the North Shore of the city.

However, the Ministry of Transport (MTQ) wanted to give some advice to motorists. “It’s leaving earlier, taking alternative routes too, if we are able to do it, looking before leaving to see what the best option is,” listed Émilie Lord, spokesperson for the MTQ.
