The victim, aged around thirty, appears to have been attacked in an apartment used as a squat, in the Arlequin district, Friday May 3 in the morning. She approached neighbors who would have raised the alarm. The firefighters rushed her to Grenoble University Hospital.

A man in his thirties was discovered seriously injured on Friday May 3, shortly after midnight, at 120 Galerie de l’Arlequin in Grenoble. The victim was allegedly injured with a stab and a firearm in “an apartment used as a squat”before going to the home of his neighbors, who then alerted the emergency services, we learned from the Interdepartmental Directorate of the National Police of Isère (DIPN).

Firefighters arrived on site around 12:12 a.m. “The man had wounds on his face, head and legs. There was a lot of blood around him and his life was in danger at that time”according to this same Source.

The man was shot in one leg and hit with a knife several times in the buttocks, said Eric Vaillant, Grenoble prosecutor, confirming information from the Dauphiné Libéré. An investigation has been opened by the police, who are looking for traces “firearms, cartridge cases and witnesses”. “Very few people seem to have seen or heard anything”, we further indicate to the DIPN. The victim was transported in absolute emergency to Grenoble University Hospital.

The Harlequin district, where the events took place, is known to be a hub for drug trafficking in Grenoble. The event comes only a few days after a young man was shot and injured in the Alma district following a settling of scores against a backdrop of drug trafficking.
