We are the winners in the high school category of the National Dance of the 2024 Games competition. », Enthuses the literature and dance teacher. To original music composed by Müller & Makaroff (Gotan Project) the 50 Amiens reproduced 1 minute 20 of the required choreography, created by Mourad Merzouki, then developed the creation specific to the Amiens option.
“ In March, we recorded several videos of our interpretation in emblematic sites of the city », explains Florie Pataud. The Jules-Verne circus, the Saint-Pierre park, the Maison de la culture and the Musée de Picardie were thus honored. The people of Amiens convinced the national selection committee, made up of the director of culture of Paris 2024, representatives of National Education and school sports federations. “ Our performance earned us a place in the selection of three favorites called to participate in a festive meeting at the Théâtre de la Ville in Paris, on May 18 », continues the teacher.
The Dance of the Games has been deployed in schools and universities since September 2023. “ Through this emblematic project of the Cultural Olympiad, Paris 2024 wishes to promote values of solidarity, sharing and inclusion, in order to celebrate the Games together », specifies Dominique Hervieu, director of culture of Paris 2024.
