Where does the enthusiasm for lodges come from, which already have an 88% reservation rate?
We investigated in Pas-de-Calais, the second most popular destination after Vaucluse.
In the heart of the mining basin, in Olhain in Pas-de-Calais, lodges are becoming more and more popular. “It is complete”immediately admits Anne-Sophie Godar, owner of Gîtes de la Vallée de l’Artois, in the TF1 subject above.
This week, here, we find two Dutch families and one French. “We felt at home from the start and it’s not expensive, the price is very reasonable”, says a follower. The price is the number 1 argument for lodgings: 97 euros per night for four people.
“We’re looking for something different.”
The lodges are a ten-minute drive from Olhain Park, a former mining area transformed into a leisure center. Today on the program: mini golf, or sledding on rails. And a vacationer met by the TF1 team says they are increasingly abandoning hotels and campsites. “We’re looking for something different,” he explains. “Going to a hotel is not necessarily something we like. We like to move around, we like to have a unique experience”declares a tourist.
The departments where the most gîtes are booked are Vaucluse, Côte-d’Or, Finistère, but in second place is Pas-de-Calais, thanks to its geographical position.
