It is part of the fight against delinquency and more particularly the fight against drug trafficking.

By organizing a reinforced presence of police officers on public roads, “ the objective is to thoroughly dismantle the networks and prevent traffickers from reestablishing themselves », recalls the Somme prefecture.

Three arrests leading to police custody for drug trafficking

The various checks led to the seizure of narcotics (cocaine, heroin and cannabis) and three arrests leading to police custody for drug trafficking.

The operation also made it possible to check 111 vehicles resulting in 8 traffic violations, impoundment, driving under the influence of drugs and lack of insurance.

Other large-scale operations will take place in the Somme in the coming weeks to continue the fight against drug trafficking.
