Two weeks later theft of a computer containing data on the Olympic Games in Hauts-de-Seine, in the Paris region, a similar incident happened in Lille. The northern capital is in fact a host city for the international event, with multiple sporting events planned at the Pierre-Mauroy stadium in Villeneuve-d’Ascq. If in the first case, it was not information related to security, explained the company Thales, specializing in defense, it would seem that, this time, the information is “sensitive”.

Computers stolen from the car of a delivery coordinator at the Pierre-Mauroy stadium

The theft occurred on the evening of April 29, rue Royale, in the heart of Old Lille. Europe 1 thus informs that the victim is a “delivery coordinator for the Pierre-Mauroy stadium site” and that the two computers which were stolen from her were located in her car, parked in front of her home. Their content would consist, among other things, of “ infrastructure security plans of Olympic village of Villeneuve-d’Ascq“.

The Olympics IT department was able to remotely block access to the files, again according to Europe 1. The video protection which covers the sector will be used, as part of the complaint filed with the Lille police station. An investigation is underway.
