The start of the Cannes Film Festival is approaching. This year, one of the most prestigious events in the cinema market will begin on May 14 and end on May 25. The jury composed of Omar Sy, Eva Green, Lily Gladstone, Pierfrancesco Favino, Hirokazu Kore-Eda, Juan Antonio Bayona, Nadine Labaki and Ebru Ceylan will be chaired by Greta Gerwig. At only 40 years old, she is the youngest president since Sophia Loren in 1966! The jury will have to debate the fate of the 22 films in competition and will have the honor of discovering at the opening of the Festival the new film by Quentin Dupieux entitled The Second Act. Actors mobilized for a good cause

During an exceptional evening which will be held on Saturday May 18 at 9:10 p.m., France 2 viewers will discover renowned French actresses under the spotlight who will come and perform in the show for the benefit of charitable associations. Thus, these six personalities will do their best to win up to 140,000 euros, grouped, for their respective associations. Clémentine Célarié will come to play, for her first participation, for theARSLA : Association for research on ALS, or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. François-Xavier Demaison will defend the colors of Laugh Doctor, while Claire Keim will carry the hopes of the Garches Foundation. For his part, Arnaud Ducret will fight for Hello We Voilou, Alice Poisson will commit to The Blue Child and Jonathan Lambert will support theRafael Institute.

The six candidates will compete in three duels during which each winner will win up to 20,000 euros for the prize pool shared by the six associations. Then the winners of each duel will meet at the end of the show to try, this time, to win an additional 80,000 euros for the causes they have come to defend.
