“Facilities” category
First co-winner: “Passerelle de la Tourbière de la Planchette”
Client: Municipality of Saint-Siméon-de-Bressieux

Project manager: Conservatory of Natural Spaces of Isère

@Tree Hedge Forest

This path project in a sensitive natural area won over the jury by the attention paid to the choice of very local hardwood materials perfectly suited to outdoor use: black locust, oak and chestnut and by the precautions environmental measures taken on the site in terms of use of hydrocarbons, management and production of waste and impact on the vegetation and animal species present. The arrangement of the gratings allows you to enter the heart of the peat bog without impacting the site, but also to offer a space within it allowing a guide to offer entertainment to a group.

Second co-winner: “Au Bonheur des Dames”, interior design of an accounting firm
Client: ACL Consulting
Project manager: Architect Workshop J. Personnaz

2nd Co-Winner of the Bois Isère Trophies
@Annie Frenot

This warm workspace layout gives pride of place to solid local wood. The partitions are in Jura ash with a brushed finish, the custom-made furniture in Burgundy oak, while the terrace is in Isère chestnut. The jury appreciated the quality of the interior design of this project and the effort to use minimally processed local hardwoods. The careful work of the interior spaces promises high quality offices for their users. For all these reasons, this building has also attracted regional attention since it won the 2024 Regional Wood Construction Prize.

Winner: “School restaurant”
Client: Municipality of Serpaize
Project manager: Dock architecture

School restaurant Dock architecture
@ADBA

The new school restaurant designed by Docks Architecture complements the premises of the elementary school in the village of Serpaize. The building is a simple volume, under a large gable roof. A scissor frame gives all its character to the dining space. This school restaurant offers beautiful interior spaces and a thoughtful use of wood outdoors to protect it from premature aging. Finally, it is worth noting the choice of wood labeled des Alpes. This project to build a school restaurant for the Serpaize school won over the jury with the readability of its architecture and the quality of the interior space created by its framework. The jury wishes to salute the accuracy of the use of wood, protected from premature aging linked to UV and rain.

Winner: “Energy renovation of the Town Hall”
Client: Municipality of Saint-Martin-le-Vinoux
Project manager: ANKHA

Bois Isère Trophies
@Iris Rodet

The town hall of Saint-Martin-le-Vinoux does not go unnoticed with its wooden cladding. The energy renovation of the Town Hall, the media library and offices, orchestrated by the ANKHA architectural agency, transformed the existing buildings. Douglas fir, from regional forests, creates a new insulating skin and offers sun protection devices with an objective of saving 70% on final energy consumption. The jury was sensitive to the aesthetics of the project and the originality of the new facades. The project displays both an exemplary capacity for urban renewal, controlled use of local resources and careful work of both interior and exterior spaces. Bois des AlpesTM certified wood punctuates spaces for structural or decorative use, thus promising high-quality equipment for its users.

Category “Tertiary and/or private developer”
Winner: “La Malterie, Ferme des Hautes Glaces”, Cornillon-en-Trièves
Project management: Domaine des Hautes Glaces
Project management: BABA

High Ice Farm
@Fibois Amélie Garreau

Domaine des Hautes Glaces, producer of local and organic whiskey in Trièves, built its malt house on its production site in Cornillon-en-Trièves. Responsible commitment and sobriety are found in the architectural writing inspired by the traditional forms of Trièves. The architect chose solid local wood labeled Bois des AlpesTM and black saturated Douglas fir cladding contrasting with the raw sawn wood of the structure. It was this entire project that won over the jury. Its apparent simplicity allows this “industrial” building to be integrated into the landscape of Trièves while providing a contemporary touch. The structural work was particularly appreciated as well as the large place given to wood in the interior, making it possible to create a warm atmosphere for this industrial equipment.

Mention Elevation: “Renovation and extension of a town house in
Project management: Private
Project management: Snack Architecture

Bois Isère Trophies
@Aurélien Vivier

This 2-in-1 project combines a thermal renovation and an elevation of a Grenoble town house. The Snack Architecture agency added a volume treated with sobriety and rigor. The load recovery of the extension was studied to support the additional floor. The Isère spruce frame is covered with false larch cladding above the cement coating left raw. An XXL opening is created on two levels on the garden side to take advantage of the views and generous sunshine. The jury wanted to highlight this house elevation project in an urban setting. This elevation allows for gentle densification of existing built spaces by integrating perfectly into its environment. With this Mention, the jury distinguishes a project with cross-cutting issues, where wood gives all its quality to the project.
