Currently, the football club Monterrein (Morbihan) is good last in his D2 championship with minus one point, because the club has already made two withdrawals, a draw and 16 defeats. In terms of accounting, the players scored 13 goals and conceded 112.

A season to forget!

It’s very complicated. We had 45 senior licensees at the start as well as a reserve team which only played half a season before withdrawing overall due to the lack of investment from certain players! As for the first team, we knew it would have been difficult, but between the injuries and the lack of motivation, it was harder than expected

Anthony Garin, president

Young people in power

The question obviously arises. How will ASM manage to bounce back after a dark year? The president already has some answers: “We will leave with just one team with young people from our training who want to restart the machine. We will definitely have some departures, but for many, we went up and down together! We have always been able to bounce back in difficult times and I hope so again this time. I have confidence in this young team! »

“The D3 is not a shame”

Even if there are only three games left in this division, the latter also wants to see the positive in it: “We have to want to play with our means, without having to be ashamed. Of course, it’s a complicated season, but above all it’s an experience for our young players. For the future, being in D3 is not a shame, it will allow us to enjoy playing again, to find our way to the goal and the taste of victory and in particular to resume work with our future coach. We are going to boost everyone’s morale to quickly return to D2. AS Monterrein is not dead and we are going to demonstrate it! We are lucky to have a good pool with around fifty young people and around twenty people who practice fit football which focuses on cardio-jogging and muscle strengthening through football gestures. »
