This is the second edition of this Finistère Atlantique. During the previous one, the start and finish took place in Concarneau. This time the walled city only welcomes the start of this young crew race, on Ultims. The arrival, and this is not intuitive, will take place in the Mediterranean, in another fortified city. It is in fact in Antibes that the 5 crews are expected in about a week.

Follow the start live from 1:00 p.m.:

The 5 crews are led by skippers who know each other well: Anthony Marchand on Actual, Armel Le Cléac’h on Banque Populaire XI, Charles Caudrelier on Maxi Edmond de Rothschild, Thomas Coville on Sodebo and François Gabart on SVR Lazartigue.

Competitors at heart who intend to show what their machines are capable of. They will have 3,500 miles to decide between them, on 2 different seas, and in sailing conditions that are not the same… This is all the difficulty and the salt of this offshore race, which promises to be very fast .

All these skippers are used to challenging each other. A few months ago, everyone was involved, alone this time, in the Arkéa Ultim Challenge. A formidable world tour departing from , won by Charles Caudrelier.

This time, it is not a marathon, but a 100 meters that awaits them. And the fight is likely to be keen from the first miles, in seas that are probably still well formed, after the passage of the gale of the last few hours.

This race should allow everyone to prepare for the Route du Rhum or an attempt at the Jules Verne Trophy.
