“The main reason is the loss of motivation players, especially for traveling. » After five years together within the framework of RC Bocage, the leaders of RC Flers (Orne) PB and RCB Vire (Calvados) have decided by mutual agreement to put to sleep the RC Bocage structure that they created in 2019 to allow their respective seniors to continue playing.
“We are not angry at all, there is a excellent understanding. We wanted to continue,” breathes President Laurent Muratet.
A positive outcome
These five seasons were punctuated by beautiful moments (accession to Regional 2 and 2 regional trophies: Normandy regional reserve champion 2 and winner of the Normandy Regional 2 Challenge), but the loss of steam was gradually felt this year.
I only have good memories. The results are positive.
” It was unavoidable in 2019. If we had not created the agreement, the two clubs would not have been able to compete on their own,” testifies the president.
The recruitment campaign starts this week: “players who were hampered by travel can return. »
End of the adventure
During a meeting that took place on Friday April 26, 2024 and after reflection for several months, the two clubs decided to go their separate ways to recreate pennant teams. “We are going to start again in Regional 3“, explains Laurent Muratet.
The common adventure will continue as part of the Gathering of U14, U16 and U19 youth teams.
