THE ACT OF ABDOUL MBAYE DECIDES TO “LEAVE” THE RADICAL OPPOSITION CAMP

At the end of a meeting of the Council (CN) of the Alliance for Citizenship and Work (ACT) on April 27, 2024, Abdoul Mbaye and his comrades decided to “exit” the radical opposition.

According to a press release sanctioning their meeting, the ACT intends to give a new political posture to the party and to the reorganization of its bodies. On this, the ACT believes that “the political programs of the parties of the old opposition must make it possible to build a true representative democracy whose foundation will be a real separation of powers”, in order to build a new .

“In this new political environment, the CN noted that the ACT must adopt a clear political posture consisting of leaving the camp of the radical opposition, giving more space to the issuance of opinions and contribution advice, while remaining sentinel of the protection of the interests of our compatriots and their desire to see the establishment of a new type of governance,” indicates the note.

Still within the framework of strengthening the party, the ACT announces a “new political course of action; prepares for the next electoral events; places strong emphasis on its approach aimed at awakening citizen awareness to what ‘politics differently’ should be in the service of the general interest and not that of politicians.
