Belgian Championship – Niels Reynvoet wins the Wallonia and consolidates his first place in the championship

Leading after the first day, Dutchman Jos Verstappen was forced to retire in the second of three passes through the Fernelmont special. ’s father suffered two punctures but only had one spare wheel.

The suspense remained until the last special stage which Cherain took the lead ahead of Reynvoet and Potty. A crash from Cherain finally allowed Reynvoet to win with 15.1 seconds ahead of Potty and 17.9 seconds over Cherain.

Reynvoet thus won his second victory in a row after the TAC and consolidated his place at the top of the championship with 71 points. Potty, reigning Belgian champion, is second with 60 points and Cherain ranks 3rd with 43 points.

The fifth round of the championship will take place on May 18 during the Sezoensrally.
