Prime Minister Gabriel Attal will be present this Saturday in the Channel

This Saturday, April 27, 2024 in the morning, the Pirou whelk fair, near Coutances (Manche), will receive a visit from Prime Minister Gabriel Attal. “We are very honored by his visit. It’s important that he comes onto the field,” underlines the mayor of Pirou, Noëlle Leforestier.

Storm, erosion and land use planning

Among the subjects that the elected official wishes to address: the consequences of the storm Ciarandune erosion and the development partnership plan. “We will of course present the fair with the shellfish farmers, the whelks and the PGI, the protected geographical indication,” continues the chosen one. The Prime Minister will then visit a market garden.

Over the entire weekend, 30,000 visitors are expected at the Whelk Fair.
