2 days to strengthen economic ties!

A few days after the visit of the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, it is the turn of Bruno Le Maire, the Minister of the Economy to head to Rabat for a two-day visit.

This visit, which began on Thursday April 25, is part of a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening ties after a period of diplomatic tensions between the two nations.

Develop new economic relations

Bruno Le Maire’s visit follows fruitful exchanges with the Moroccan authorities and the business community last October, during the General Assemblies of the World Bank and the IMF in Marrakech.

This trip by the Minister of the Economy aims to establish a new economic roadmap between the two countries, in full preparation of major events such as the 2030 World Cup.

and Morocco strengthen ties in key sectors

The Minister of Economy met Aziz Akhannouch, the Head of the Moroccan government, to discuss opportunities for industrial cooperation, particularly in the field of green hydrogen.

Franco-Moroccan business forum

A highlight of this visit is the Morocco-France forum which is being held this Friday, April 26, co-organized by the General Confederation of Moroccan Businesses and the International French Business Movement.

This forum brings together around 300 companies from both countries to discuss “ renewed economic and social opportunities “. Key sectors such as agriculture, energy and sustainable cities are notably addressed.

Visit to the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University

In addition to official engagements, Bruno Le Maire met students from Mohammed VI Polytechnic University and hosted a conference on the economic partnership between Morocco and France, with particular emphasis on “ The Morocco-France energy partnership, an asset for Africa and Europe “.
