Sea inlets are reaching the east of the island, causing very cloudy skies and some precipitation. They are holding out this morning. Elsewhere, the sky is not very cloudy and the weather is generally sunny, especially in the mountains. This afternoon, the cloud cover is mainly on the slopes, but also on the north-west coast.

A few rare showers water the Bélouve sector, the Plaine des Palmistes, and the northern highlands. Cilaos, the regions of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Joseph, and the eastern seaboard, however, benefit from sometimes generous clearings. In the mountains, you have to climb a little higher than the day before to get above the cloud layer and see bright sunshine: 2,000 to 2,200 meters. The view of Mafate from Maïdo is therefore no longer guaranteed.

The short reminder of the southern winter of last weekend is well and truly over since the maximum temperatures are looking good, reaching 25 to 28°C on the coast. It is still less hot than the day before in the mountains.

The easterly wind brings gusts of 50 km/h on the north coast, and even 60 km/h on the south coast. However, it is running out of steam in the highlands.

The sea is rough in the South and East, with the wind and the breaking of a trade wind swell of around 2 metres.
