A new aluminum recycling plant has just opened its doors near On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, Constellium inaugurated this investment on its Neuf-Brisach site, according to Le Figaro.

This company is an American giant in the field, and is located in Neuf-Brisach since 1967. In total, more than 1600 employees work there every day.

Doubled metal recycling capacity

In total, 130 million euros were invested in this project. This sum will make it possible to double the recycled metal capacity.

“With this new recycling unit, the plant will be able to recycle 75% additional materialsor approximately 130,000 tons “, the company said in a press release shared by Usine Nouvelle.

As a reminder, Constellium works in the fields of the automobile (car bodies), agri-food (cans) or even aeronautics (aircraft components).

According to the company’s estimates, this new center will allow 400,000 tonsper year carbon emissions.
