New dramatic road accident this Thursday afternoon. A 60-year-old man who was traveling on a bicycle was killed in a collision with a truck.
An accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. this Thursday afternoon on the road to Saint-Lys in the town of Seysses, southwest of Toulouse. Emergency services, alerted at 3:34 p.m., moved quickly. When firefighters from the Muret rescue center arrived, the cyclist, a 60-year-old man, was in cardiorespiratory arrest.
Joined by a team of emergency workers from Smur 31, the firefighters carried out lengthy resuscitation attempts. Despite these efforts, the victim’s death was noted on the spot by the Samu doctor.
Second cyclist killed in five days

Already last Saturday, another cyclist was killed in an accident while traveling on a departmental road in Auribail, between Auterive and Saint-Sulpice-sur-Lèze. This 46-year-old man was killed in a collision with a car. The driver of the vehicle fled before being arrested by the police. He was indicted and imprisoned on Monday.
Since January at least fifteen people have died on the roads of Haute-Garonne.
