France Victimes 41 celebrates ten years of existence
Descriptive text here

Founded just ten years ago, the Victimes 41 association plays an essential role in supporting people who are victims of crimes and accidents of all kinds.

The association chaired by Rodolf-Karel Canoy held its annual general meeting, Monday April 15, in its premises located in the Maison de l’Europe in . She maintains regular hours at the Blois courthouse but also at the legal access points of Vendôme and Romorantin as well as the France services houses.

“France Victimes has become a complementary and necessary actor in justice”

The activity report was drawn up in the presence of the Blois public prosecutor, Charlotte Beluet, and the substitute responsible for the fight against domestic violence, Stéphanie Clément-Bornet. Representatives of the police but also of the Prison Integration and Probation Service, the Medicojudicial Unit, and the Information Center for the Rights of Women and Families were also present.

President Canoy recalled “absolute necessity” to employ the person responsible for reception full-time and to benefit from more suitable premises, particularly at the judicial court where the victim assistance office (BAV) is cramped. Good news, the departmental council has just joined the support of the association. The Ministry of Justice, the city of Blois, and the management center (which finances a unit for collecting reports of harassment at work and sexism in local authorities) are among the main contributors.

Restorative justice and mediation

Edith Delion, coordinator and lawyer for France Victimes, paid tribute to Robert Badinter who, in 1982, initiated the birth of the Inavem network (National Institute for Victim Assistance and Mediation). The team, which includes four people (two lawyers, a psychologist and a receptionist), has been almost the same for ten years. She reviewed the achievements carried out since 2014, the obtaining of approval by the Ministry of Justice in 2020, the partnership developed with the judicial court for the deployment of serious danger telephones (TGD), anti-reconciliation bracelets (BAR ), victim assessments.

“France Victimes has become a complementary and necessary actor in justice, we still have fields to explore provided that the means follow in particular for missions to support child victims, but also restorative justice and mediation in matters traffic crime or domestic violence, meetings with detained victims and who knows, perhaps, a legal assistance dog. »

Prosecutor Charlotte Beluet thanked the members of France Victimes 41 for their “unwavering commitment and their responsiveness to a criminal policy which has strengthened the fight against domestic violence with the concern for the prosecution to ensure the essential support and care of victims which involves an entire territorial network alongside the law enforcement, protection associations. This collaboration made it possible to gain in skill, detection and consistency. »
