The story could have ended very badly. On the night of Tuesday April 16 to Wednesday April 17, 2024, around 3 a.m., a newspaper delivery man who was going on his rounds came across a little girl in pajamas wandering alone on the road, in the Neuhof district, in Strasbourg, reports The Latest News from Alsace .
A supposed front door defect
The man immediately went to the police station with the child, aged around two years old. He was interviewed by the police and the little girl was taken to the pediatric emergency room.
According to information from the local newspaper, the little girl is in good health. Her father came to pick her up. He then allegedly explained that the front door to his apartment did not lock and that the child had escaped his vigilance. The Strasbourg juvenile brigade has opened an investigation.
