The academic inspector filed a complaint on behalf of the institution, in support of the director who was the victim of the attack suffered this Monday, April 15, in front of her school in La Millière.
In the 11th arrondissement of Marseille, the non-participation of a student in a school trip caused a heated altercation this Monday, April 15, between the director of a school and two women, a mother and her daughter.
According to facts reported by La Provence, and confirmed by the Aix-Marseille academy to BFMTV, “a mother and her older daughter presented themselves at the gate of the Millière school, because a student had not been able to participate in a school trip, due to lack of parental authorization,” writes the institution.
Five days of ITT
On site, “the teachers tried to explain why this document was essential for any school trip, in the face of the two women who expressed their dissatisfaction and began to raise their voices,” continues the academy.
Alerted, the director of the establishment then went to the participants in the discussion to try to “calm down the exchanges”.
“The student’s big sister (a young adult, Editor’s note) then scratched her and hit her. (…) She went to see a doctor who gave her five days of ITT,” describes the Aix-Marseille academy on BFMTV.
“She is a recognized, experienced director, committed in particular to the Marseille en Grand plan. On ITT for 5 days, she spent the day at home but continued to work,” underlines the academic inspection.
Mother and daughter in police custody
The academic inspection specifies that the director was kicked and slapped, and was also the target of insults. The victim filed a complaint following the altercation, while requesting “the establishment of functional protection”, which was granted to him, according to information from BFMTV.
A complaint coupled with that of the academic inspector, who explains to BFMTV that he initiated this procedure on behalf of the institution in support of the director. The student’s mother and sister were taken into police custody, a police Source told BFMTV.
For her part, Nicole Belloubet’s entourage indicates to BFMTV that the Minister of National Education condemns these acts in the strongest possible terms. In addition, a mobile security team and a psychological reception service have been set up within the school. The police will also be present this Thursday in front of the school.
The carnival which was planned for Tuesday was canceled as no one wanted to celebrate it within the school.
Parents request a change of establishment for the student concerned
According to the academy, “parents wrote a letter to the academic inspector, requesting a change of school for the student in question.”
“We would like the student to be moved to another school. How else can we imagine a peaceful resumption of class with a complaint in progress?”, is written in the letter obtained by our colleagues from La Provence.
The district inspector, who will be present at the scene of the altercation this Thursday, will offer to meet with parents at the end of the day about their request to change the student’s school. However, this hypothesis does not appear to be favored insofar as the student has nothing to do with the acts committed by his sister and his mother.
