A major fire broke out at the entrance to Vionnaz during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday. Uncontained at present, the fire has engulfed the entirety of a wooden hall, where there are, among other things, a depot for a landscaping company and a restaurant.
The security services on site tell us that no casualties have been reported for the moment and that the origins of the incident are still unknown. An investigation should be opened. The section of the cantonal road between Vionnaz and Muraz is closed to all traffic and a diversion has been put in place. The fire centers of Chablais Valais, CIMO, Haut-Lac, and the cantonal and municipal police were alerted around 3:40 a.m. Wednesday morning. Around sixty people tried to put out the fire.
