“Scy Chazelles the Olympic” launches an appeal for good will. On June 27, as you know, the Olympic flame will pass through the Moselle. The relay will notably make a detour through Scy Chazelles, where the house of Robert Schuman, one of the founding fathers of Europe, is located. This is a wish of the president of the Departmental Council, Patrick Weiten. On this occasion, the Scygéocastelloise municipality is looking for a forty volunteers, to help secure the route of the Olympic flame in the town.
The mayor, Frédéric Navrotexplain that ” throughout the route, a static person is required, every 25 meters “to supervise the torchbearers and the public. The elected official also specifies that these volunteers will only be one link in the security system: ” there will also be national and municipal police officers, private security guards that we will recruit “.
As for the profile of these volunteers, the town hall of Scy Chazelles explains that there are no particular conditions: “no need to be a strong arm”, emphasizes Frédéric Navrot. The mayor specifies, however, that applications must be validated by state services, for obvious security reasons.
