Beaches, marshes, bocage, so many places marked by battles. 20 photographs, taken by Signal Corps soldiers or by reconnaissance planes, are presented outdoors, in the marshes. Backgrounds are highlighted to understand the importance of landscapes in military operations. This exhibition, installed in front of the Maison du Parc, with free access, provides another look at war photos.
The exhibition was designed by the Cotentin and Bessin Marshes Regional Natural Park, with scientific advice from the Utah Beach Landing Museum.
The photographs come mainly from the collections of the Utah Beach Landing Museum, with a complement from the Departmental Archives House of the History of La Manche.
