​Cineplex Theatres Offering 100% Free Movies and $3 Popcorn in September

Just because the cost of everything seems to have gone up doesn’t mean you can’t afford to go to the movies. For the 12th annual Cineplex Theatres are hosting their Free Movie Day with snacks at a reduced price. In addition to enjoying a fun activity without emptying your wallet, you will contribute to a good cause, because the Cineplex Community Day supports BGC Canada (formerly Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada) by raising funds for the association.

You will be able to discover the programming for this special day starting September 4 and reserve your seats. Each Cineplex account holder (free) will be able to reserve up to six tickets. However, it is advisable to act quickly since the seats are allocated on a “first come, first served” basis!

Then, on Saturday, September 14, you can head to participating Cineplex theatres to enjoy free admission to movies starting between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Since entry won’t cost you a penny, you’ll have money left over to enjoy the snacks at a discounted price, including delicious hot and salty popcorn, as well as non-alcoholic beverages and treats, all for $3. The best part is that $1 will be donated to BGC Canada for every purchase made at the food bank. So, while you enjoy your popcorn, you’ll also be doing a good deed!

In addition to the free movies, The Rec Room and Playdium locations will be offering 30-minute XSCAPE game cards to enjoy the facilities before they start. A $1 donation will be made by Cineplex to BGC Canada for every $3 food counter item purchased and every XSCAPE game card purchased throughout the day. Select locations will also be offering free bowling, ping-pong, billiards and more.
