This week, we present a selection of festivals from all over the country. Rennes, Orléans and Paris – with a new festival – are interested in emerging artists of so-called contemporary music, there is blues in Meyreuil, near Aix-en-Provence, piano at the Orangerie d’Auteuil, classical music in Besançon and contemporary music in Bagnolet.

No “stars” of yesterday or today as a flagship product, if we except this year the arrival on September 12 of the singer, bassist and guitarist Laetitia Shériff and the pioneering cold wave group KaS Product, but the promotion, at the I’m From Rennes festival, of the most recent and active groups of the Rennes pop-rock-electro scene. Discoveries therefore, for the most part, in different places in the city (Le Thabor, Le Grand Huit…) and its surroundings (Le Grand Logis in Bruz). The 13e edition, scheduled from September 5 to 15, announces around twenty concerts including those of Jerkorama, The Flying Bones, Naowel, in a location that will be revealed at the last minute on September 6, Leïla and The Koalas, Astrid Rad, Boogie, the collectives Comme ça and Valise, Albert Jupiter, Atr! um, Jules Ibrahim, Kat White… S. Si.

I’m From Rennes, in Rennes and surrounding areas. From September 5 to 15. Free entry, €8 for the concert at a secret location on September 6.

A new festival focused on “young talents”, from song to electro, in Paris

“We always need a festival of young talents”announces Arthur H in the presentation file of a new festival, the Scala Music Festival, of which he is the sponsor. For this inaugural edition, from September 10 to 14 in the Parisian venue, mainly emerging artists, and a few already known personalities, for a journey into song, pop, rock, electro with often desires for crossing musical genres, sound experimentation. With Robock, Arthur H, Merryn Jeann, on the 10th, Les Marquises, Poppy Fusée, on the 11th, Penelope Antena, Cindy Pooch, on the 12th, Liv Oddman, Arthur Fu Bandini, Aghiad, on the 13th and Bellboy, PAR.SEK, Nous étaient une armée, on the 14th. Blues in the spotlight at Domaine de Valbrillant, in Meyreuil

It is in a beautiful place, the gardens of the Domaine communal de Valbrillant, in Meyreuil (Bouches-du-Rhône), south-east of Aix-en-Provence with the limestone massif of Sainte-Victoire in view, that the Blues Roots Festival is organized. For its 6e edition, from September 12 to 14, with two concerts per evening, the festival will welcome the American guitarist and singer Joe Louis Walker and the Brazilian singer and guitarist Nanda Moura, on the 12th, the young American singer and guitarist Stephen Hull, the American blues and soul singer Thornetta Davis, on the 13th, the Danish singer and guitarist Mike Andersen and the American guitarist and singer Lance Lopez, on the 14th.
