Avignon: the celebration truffle in the halls
Vaucluse is one of the major areas of truffle. This small fungus that grows under oaks is in the spotlight this Sunday at the Halle de la Cité des Papes, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This 13th edition of the Truffle Festival, organized by the Traders Association, promises to be a privileged moment for epicureans who will also find themselves on Place Pie. A dozen disciples from Escoffier offer different day different tastings around the truffle. A demonstration which, according to the organizers, attracts “Avignonnais but also lovers from the whole region“.

Conference on the sculptor Camille Claudel at Espace Léon Colombier in Cavaillon
During the winter of 1913, the sculptor Camille Claudel, who was for more than fifteen years the companion of another illustrious sculptor Auguste Rodin, was interned at the request of her mother and brother Paul in city asylum -Evrard, then she was transferred, a little more than a year later, in the Vaucluse in Montfavet, near Avignon. She died in 1943 after more than thirty years spent in a psychiatric hospital. The speakers André Castelli and Samia Essadi make, during this conference which takes place this afternoon at the Espace Léon Colombier, a tribute supported to the artist and the woman with a tragic fate. The opportunity also to make known the scope of his work.

Sausse-les-Pins: Sea festivals, continued and end on the port
This is the last of the month. Today, Sausset-les-Pins, in connection with traders and fishermen, celebrates not only the sea but also the product of the sea. The port is filled with sea urchin stalls, sardines. Restaurants and cafes offer special menus. The latter put their tables at the time of shellfish and crustaceans by preparing plates ready for tasting. The delicious treasures of the sea are exhibited along the port and the sea urchins allow themselves to be tasted raw, with the wet with small pieces of breads, sprinkled with a small fresh white. The public can walk in the aisles of an artisanal fair installed on the port.
