Nantes hosts OL on Sunday afternoon in a high-stakes match, at the top and bottom of the standings. But for this highly anticipated meeting, Antoine Kombouaré will be deprived of several starters in midfield.
Without a victory for four matches in all competitions, Olympique Lyonnais is preparing its trip to Nantes this Sunday with the firm intention of taking three points. Despite a delicate position in the rankings, Nantes is not necessarily the easiest place to get back on track. Antoine Kombouaré will, however, have to deal with a reduced workforce for this meeting as revealed by the newspaper Ouest-France, which notably noted the package of Douglas Augusto.
Nantes deprived of two starters against OL
Captain of the Nantes midfielder, the Brazilian is out. “He hasn’t trained all week. We had a little hope on Tuesday and Wednesday but he had an exam on Thursday which revealed a small lesion” confirmed Antoine Kombouaré, regretting his player's ischio injury. In midfield, another starter will be missing against OL: Johann Lepenant. The French junior international is not injured but his absence is explained by contractual reasons. Loaned by Lyon, he is not authorized to play against the Rhone club. Antoine Kombouaré will therefore have to rack his brains to field a coherent team on Sunday with two usual starters absent in midfield. A handicap that Pierre Sage and his players hope to benefit from.
