Lhe opening ceremony of Fipadoc took place this Friday with the screening of the musical documentary “Momentum” in front of an audience of guests and in the presence of conductor Joanna Mallwitz. Anne Georget, president of the event, and Christine Camdessus, the general delegate, welcomed the festival-goers in a celestial atmosphere, spinning the metaphor of the alignment of the planets by inviting the mayor of Biarritz and the members of the juries on stage.
To emphasize, if necessary, the importance of dance in the festival programming, the Biarritz ballet punctuated the evening with the third duet of the ballet “Mozart à 2” by Thierry Malandain. For the closing ceremony on Friday March 31, the English choreographer Skorpion was invited to accompany the winners and the awards ceremony.
