The Municipal Sports Office (WHO), in place for over 25 years, is responsible for supporting sports associations in the town. It brings together 31 sports associations and the UNSS colleges high school, representing all the sports accessible on the city.

The General Assembly was an opportunity to mention the actions implemented during the pre-Olympic period between 2022 and 2024.

In order to facilitate requests for municipal subsidies, the WHO offers a clear formula to determine the criteria selected for the allocation of the bonus subsidy. Clubs that are involved in access to young people under the age of 18, women, people with disabilities, in municipal life can benefit from a bonus. The proportion of Tournefeuillais in the club is also taken into account. A new criterion on club development and performance support will be implemented this year.
“Our desire is to seek equity between clubs,” said Pierre Casellas.
On the same operating principle of Olympic Wednesdays, the WHO will offer interventions on extracurricular times. New this year, the ceremony for awards to the city athletes will take place during the traditional sports festival, organized by the municipality which will take place on June 28.
