So obviously, the commissions these luxury real estate agents receive are substantial. But what percentage do the members of The Agency and above all, how do they distribute the sums?
How much does the Kretz family earn for each sale?
At the end of 2024, the Kretz family revealed the amount of their fees which range from 5 to 7% of the sale price. This may seem very reasonable when we know that many “classic” real estate agents often take around 10% of the sale price. But compared to the amount of transactions for their exceptional properties, this amounts to significant sums. For example, for the sale of a property for 3 million euros, the commission is equivalent to 150,000 euros. The question now is how this sum is distributed. Valentin Kretz, one of the members of the siblings, explained to our colleagues from Tele-Leisure what the person behind the sale does not receive the entire commission, but that it is distributed between the different agents. “It creates less jealousy and that way when there is one who makes a very good sale and everyone is happy”he assures. A “collective reward” which, assures Olivier Kretz, helps motivate his troops. “It’s true that what makes us happiest by having expanded our group is seeing our agents who work with us flourish and help them make sales. When they make deals and we ring the gong for them, we are so happy for them that today it is our greatest pride, to be able to support 120 agents who work with us today“, the patriarch enthused to our colleagues.
