Leeks, potatoes and cabbage sausages: GastroVaud will serve Papet Vaudois from midday on Friday in the squares of different localities in the canton. The tasting is offered on the occasion of Vaudois Independence celebrated on January 24.

To celebrate Vaudois independence, GastroVaud invites you to taste, this Friday, a plate of the famous green and white dish in collaboration with the Vaudois Charcuterie Association IGP and the Vaudoise Federation of Vegetable Producers. The first provides 1,700 cabbage sausage curls and the second 850 kilos of leeks. New this year, GastroVaud is also joining forces with the Planètes Enfants Malades foundation, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Initiated in 2017 for the 125th anniversary of GastroVaud, the action promotes the culinary traditions and products of the canton of Vaud. Some 3,000 foodies are expected in the participating locations.

The distribution will take place under tents, from 12:00 p.m., in Lausanne on the Place de la Palud, in Yverdon-les-Bains aux Remparts, in Morges on the Place de l’Hôtel-de-Ville, in Nyon on the Place St-Martin , in Vevey in front of the Manor center, in Echallens on the Place de l’Hôtel-de-Ville, in Moudon at the municipal barracks in the town center, and in Aigle on the Market Square. Château d’Oex, on Grand Rue, is also involved, from 6 p.m. In addition to these 9 localities, it should be noted that Oron-la-Ville will participate in the operation the next day, at the market, from 10:00 a.m.
