His 226,000 followers are in shock: their “idol”, the Brazilian influencer Ricardo Godoi, best known for his photos of luxury cars, died at the age of 45 on Monday January 20, 2025, his talent agency announced in a message posted on his Instagram account.
“Today we say goodbye to […] an incredible person who left his mark on the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His joy, his generosity and his light will remain in our memories […] May he rest in peace,” they wrote alongside a black and white photo of the deceased.
“He had a cardiac arrest”
This death occurred after Ricardo Godoi had just undergone general anesthesia to have his entire back tattooed, reports Le Parisien. Although such a procedure is not obligatory, the staff of the private hospital he had rented preferred to apply it due to the scale of the operation.
“He went into cardiac arrest at the start of the sedation and intubation, before we even started tattooing him,” the tattoo artist told the Daily Mail, adding that Ricardo Godoi was “quickly examined and a cardiologist tried, unsuccessfully, to resuscitate him.”
