Through a rigorous selection of children’s albums which deal with issues of inclusion and equality and which celebrate all differences, and with the help of colorful characters in heels, the Paillettes collective opens the imagination, plays with stereotypes, questions the normalization of representations and cultivates a wind of freedom that appeals to young and old. By listening to these stories, project yourself into universes where all destinies are possible, where everyone can be as they are.

About the collective

The Glitter embody a queer activist collective bringing together six drag queens and creatures, sharing a common goal: celebrating differences and self-acceptance, with all kindness and empathy. Since their creation in 2014, Les Paillettes have used humor and emotions to showcase the richness and diversity of LGBTQ+ cultures through literary cabarets or sketch and song shows.

From 2017, they are reaching out to a wider audience thanks to Glitter Taleswarm readings of inclusive stories in media libraries, libraries, entertainment centers, festivals and contemporary art museums.
