When the news broke, I said to myself: “That’s it, we’re now going to have to deal with analysts and commentators with French accents at the galas. »
I am obviously referring to the agreement binding since the beginning of the month the WWE has Netflix and this for the next ten years (and five billion $).
Except I was wrong! So much the better !
The WWE – and no Netflix – decided to hire two additional French-speaking commentators in order to enhance the broadcast of its events in Quebec: Pat Laprade and Kevin Raphaël.
Laprade and Raphaël are linked to the WWE for several years, I am told.
The (good) surprise in this is that the WWE already had its two French-speaking commentators: Christophe Agius and Nadir Mohammedi, two French people located in France.
We must therefore salute the decision of the two entertainment giants, namely that of offering Franco-Quebec content to Quebecers who watch the galas of the WWE. #Tokébakikitte

What will be broadcast?
Kevin Raphaël and Pat Laprade will comment ALL the struggle produced by the WWEsince the contract between Netflix and the WWE includes Raw (Monday), NXT (mardi), Smackdown (Friday) and special events (WrestleMania, Royal Rumble and others).
Note that in the United States, only the Raw galas are currently broadcast on Netflix.
A duo that does not date from yesterday
Pat Laprade and Kevin Raphaël have been commenting on wrestling events together for seven years. However, they only did one hour out of the three galas Raw on TVA Sports. And the galas were broadcast 48 hours later on TVA Sports…
-On Netflixwe will also have to wait a day or two before having access to the galas described by the Quebec duo… but it won’t be like that for much longer. According to what I was told, we would like to spend and directly before the end of the current year. Especially since Laprade and Raphaël will be commenting on the gala evenings live this evening (each from home)…
Note that for the moment, the WWE does not plan to send Pat and Kevin on site during the galas. Maybe for a special event if the Bell Center is hosting a wrestling gala soon? We’ll see.
Pat Laprade is happy and excited
I was able to join Pat Laprade between two meetingshe who was preparing for his news job which will start this evening with the first Raw of 2025.
He was quick to say how happy he was to join the team. Netflix/WWE.

Cursed that I’m happy for the guys, who must pocket a lot of (American) dollars for such a contract. So much the better, they fully deserve it!
