Friday January 24 and Saturday January 25, Reading Nights will be held. This year’s theme is dedicated to heritage. The Marsan Philippe-Labeyrie media library welcomes all those curious about the Landes race. This discipline is also tinged with poetry under the eye of photographers, filmmakers or even under the pen of authors. To discover these different aspects, an evening rich in entertainment will be offered.

Friday, at 6 p.m., meeting “Living and writing the Landes race”, during an exchange moderated by Éditions Passiflore, the four-time French champion of distance runners Loïc Lapoudge, the president of the French Landes race federation, Patrice Larrosa , and the author Fabrice Lafourcade will exhume their memories of arenas, dotted with joys, injuries and disillusionment.

This will be followed at 8 p.m. by a screening of the film “De Nueit”. In this short film released in 2021, Laurent Diéras offers a poetic look at the Landes race. The screening will be followed by a mediation led by the author Jean Harambat, in the presence of the director.

Saturday, change of scenery with an exclusive and commented visit, through which the public will be able to witness the dialogue between a selection of prints from the Despiau-Wlérick museum and old books from the heritage collection of the media library.
