Nogent filmmaker Alexandre Gouvernel presents his film, Friday January 24, in Nogent-le-Rotrou

The film was largely shot in Nogent-le-Rotrou on the sets of an organic pig farm; the director, Alexandre Gouvernel is a native of the capital of Perche where he cut his teeth as a filmmaker; the film team was hosted by friends of the author during the week of filming… Suffice to say that there is a good part of Perche in the short film, which is presented Friday January 24 in the evening at the ChAntier, in the lair of the Théâtre Buissonnier, rue Sainte-Anne, in Nogent-le-Rotrou.

For the young filmmaker, “this is almost the first official screening of the film Children of Memory which we filmed in March 2023 at the Herpinière farm, on the heights of Nogent-le-Rotrou. » He also specifies: “We already presented the film at the Rencontres ciné-vidéos de la , in Mamers, last December, but I have since completely reworked the calibration. »

Beautiful atmospheres

He is therefore very proud to come and present it to the Nogent public, knowing that the spectators will undoubtedly recognize a part of Perche that they appreciate and in particular its countryside landscapes which are so many green postcards.

The young filmmaker, who wrote and directed this 20-minute project, wanted to transcribe this Perche in his film, this rural Perche which fits into the pitch: “Théo and Nina, farmers in Perche, lead a simple life. Since his childhood, Théo has dreamed of becoming a plane pilot, but an unforeseen event will turn his plans upside down,” explains Alexandre Gouvernel.

During confinement

“It wasn’t necessarily my initial idea that the story takes place on a farm. It’s a film about generational transmission,” explains the young filmmaker. He started writing in 2020, during confinement.
