Nice-OM: the referee for Sunday's clash designated
OM travel to Nice on Sunday evening (8:45 p.m.) in the closing match of the 19th day of Ligue 1. For this derby which promises to be electric, the LFP has chosen to entrust the whistle to Eric Wattellier (37 years old). A “lucky” referee for the Marseille club who wins every time he blows the whistle (8 consecutive victories since 2021).
Saved by the Var in Lens
In 2024/2025, Eric Wattellier has so far refereed only one Olympian match. It was the trip to Lens in November (3-1 victory for OM) where it was considered, at the end of the match, that there was no fault on Bilal Nadir. Fortunately, he was able to correct his decision by reviewing the images. Sunday in Nice, his assessors at Var will be Alexis Auger and Julien Haulbert.
