The Belgian singer, revealed by her participation in The Voice France a few years ago, posted a few seconds of Sorry; a song that will perhaps take him to Switzerland next May.
A familiar face has slipped into the Belgian preselection for Eurovision 2025. Mentissa, singer of And Bam or Oh mamais in the running to represent the country at the international competition in Basel (Switzerland), next May. And the 25-year-old artist has just revealed an extract from Sorrythe song with which she presents herself, written together with Vianney.
Mentissa is one of eight candidates for the Belgian Eurosong 2025 telecrochet, the winner of which will be chosen to represent the country in the annual international competition. Four first candidates presented their title during a bonus broadcast on Saturday January 18 on Belgian television, as reported by L’Eurovision au jour. The four others, including Mentissa, will reveal their titles this Saturday, January 25. They will then be available on streaming platforms. The final is scheduled for February 1.
Sorryof which only a few seconds are currently known, marks a pop turn for Mentissa, as she explains to La Gazette de l’Eurovision:
“Everything I’ve done so far, French songs, ballads… it’s also me! (…) But there is a more pop side that I haven’t yet been able to fully explore ‘Sorry’, it’s a real bias of a very pop, very catchy, very danceable song!”

Mentissa co-wrote Sorry with Vianney. The singer of Step-dad has been a mentor for the young singer since their meeting in The Voicein 2021. Then unknown, the young artist participated as a candidate and joined Vianney’s team, who acted as coach.
Since then, the latter has signed a few tracks from Mentissa’s first album, The Twentiesreleased in 2022. This record earned the young woman a nomination in the female revelation category at the Victoires de la Musique the following year. She lost to November Ultra.
Belgium has only won Eurovision once since the competition began. It was in 1986 with I love life by Sandra Kim.
